"'Welcome to the Knight Bus, emergency transport for the stranded witch or wizard. Just stick out your wand hand, step on board and we can take you anywhere you want to go.'"
When the Knight Bus crashes through the darkness and screeches to a halt in front of him, it's the start of another far from ordinary year at Hogwarts for Harry Potter. Sirius Black, escaped mass-murderer and follower of Lord Voldemort, is on the run - and they say he is coming after Harry. In his first ever Divination class, Professor Trelawney sees an omen of death in Harry's tea leaves... But perhaps most terrifying of all are the Dementors patrolling the school grounds, with their soul-sucking kiss...
Having become classics of our time, the Harry Potter eBooks never fail to bring comfort and escapism. With their message of hope, belonging and the enduring power of truth and love, the story of the Boy Who Lived continues to delight generations of new readers.

Book 30 of 2025
We board the Hogwarts Express in this darkly exhilarating chapter of the Harry Potter franchise, as Harry, Ron and Hermione return for their third year. Packed with intrigue, laughter, charm and the best story of the first three books, ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’, is a fantastic delight to retread.
J.K. Rowling’s pace and writing mature in this third outing for Harry and the gang, and although this series is a reread, there are always moments that I’ve forgotten, details that I glanced over my first or second time reading, and complete chapters that were NOT in the films i.e. Harry facing off against Hufflepuff in Quidditch, meeting Cedric in his third year, and Cho Chang. In fact there were three chapters dedicated to Quidditch, where Gryffindor faces each house to finally win the Quidditch Cup! Crookshanks an actual thought out character rather than just Hermione’s new cat, and pivotal to the overall plot - safe to say, I was hooked yet again returning to this world.
With the new reboot television series scheduled to hit our screens in 2026, I thought it a perfect time to revisit these books, since television as a medium has more space to work with in terms of the finer details of a series such as this.
It also delights me to acknowledge that ‘Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban’ takes the title of ‘read novel’ number 30 for 2025! Not exactly a title, but an achievement nonetheless.
The next Harry Potter book I expect to reread will be in 2026, but it has been a great time in 2025 revisiting Hogwarts.
An excellent 5 ✨ reread. 🫑
