Descripción editorial

TEACHING POPULATION CONCEPTS was first published in 1971 under the title POPULATION by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction, State of Washington; Bill Hunter, Supervisor of Environmental Education. A revised and expanded version bearing the present title was published in 1973 by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction as part of the Population Education Pilot Curriculum Development Project and was later reissued in 1975.  Designed for upper elementary and junior high school levels, this guide is intended to help teachers convey useful population concepts applicable to a wide variety of subject areas — science, mathematics, social science, environmental science, and language arts.   Because this is a digital replica edition of a 1975 publication the population statistics included are not current.
