Descripción editorial
In a deadly game of nuclear chess, one woman is Europe's last hope.
After a coup brings a new president of the Russian Federation to power, the military threat level in Eastern Europe skyrockets. Amid the chaos, a crazed radical prepares a deadly move: a dirty bomb built from nuclear material stolen years ago from the Ignalina Nuclear Power Plant.
The target: the Russian Embassy in Kiev, Ukraine. The goal: provoke NATO into permanently installing troops in Eastern Europe to block imminent Russian invasions.
Zuza Bartus, a Lithuanian ARAS counterterrorism agent, must stop the plot. But success comes at an impossible cost. If she foils the attack, Russia is sure to retaliate. If she fails, thousands will die. Caught in a vicious game of power and betrayal, Zuza must decide who lives and who dies, and how far she's willing to go for the cause of freedom.
