Power from on High

How can ordinary Christians tap into extraordinary spiritual power? In Power from on High, Charles Finney—the great revivalist of the Second Great Awakening—answers this question with timeless clarity. This book is a collection of his stirring addresses on the Person and work of the Holy Spirit. Finney explores the promise of the Spirit, the conditions for receiving His power, and the transformation He brings in the life of the believer. With passionate logic, he calls readers to wholehearted consecration, persistent faith, and a life of holiness. This modern-English edition preserves Finney's original meaning and structure while updating archaic language for today's reader. Whether you are new to the Christian faith or have walked with God for decades, these pages will ignite a hunger for more of God's presence. Part of The Modern Wisdom Library.
