搜孤救孤 Rescuing the Orphan of Zhao

连环画《搜孤救孤》的故事取自历史演义小说《东周列国志》。讲述了春秋时期晋国大夫赵氏因被奸臣陷害而惨遭灭门后,义士程婴牺牲自己的儿子,救出赵氏孤儿,忍辱偷生,最终报了冤仇。

The story of “Rescuing the Orphan of Zhao” is selected from the historical romance Annals of the States in the Eastern Zhou Dynasty. It describes the deeds of a righteous man called Chen Ying, who sacrificed his own son to rescue the orphan of a grand master of the state of Jin, Mr. Zhao, after he had been framed by villainous ministers and his family had been slaughtered miserably, and took a bitter revenge for the Zhao family by striving to live through shame and dishonour.
