Explore the wonders of China with the Bedford Girls’ School Junior School Enhanced Curriculum Series. Each of the activities is supported by the IB learner profile, and it is expected students will create a portfolio while studying the topic across the curriculum.


In Blue and White:

1. The Shang Dynasty - investigate a dynasty and compare and contrast archaeological and historical evidence

2. China’s Geography - create different maps of China including a choropleth map

3. Willow Pattern Story - read the willow pattern story and design your own

4. Stress - share your stress with your lily and float it to let your stress melt away

5. Shrines - what are Buddhist shrines? What would your ideal quiet area be like?

6. Traditional Tales - continue rehearsing your play

7. Cover - design an exciting front cover for your new project book


Bedford Girls’ School is an independent day school for girls aged 7-18 in Bedford, UK, and is operated by the Harpur Trust. We are a 1:1 iPad school, and this is one of a number of resources created for our students.
