The Four Dragons

Explore the wonders of China with the Bedford Girls’ School Junior School Enhanced Curriculum Series. Each of the activities is supported by the IB learner profile, and it is expected students will create a portfolio while studying the topic across the curriculum.


In The Four Dragons:

1. Chinese Writing - create a Chinese slat book

2. Rivers - complete maps of China and read the tale of the 4 dragons

3. Strengths & Skills - create a brick for the class Great Wall

4. Traditional Artefacts - have a go at Chinese paper cutting and make a lantern

5. China? - what do you know about China and what do you want to learn?

6. Chinese Tales - plan a shadow puppet show and read the tale of the Demon Nián 

7. Front Cover - design an exciting front cover for your project book


Bedford Girls’ School is an independent day school for girls aged 7-18 in Bedford, UK, and is operated by the Harpur Trust. We are a 1:1 iPad school, and this is one of a number of resources created for our students.
