Kites - Wise Learn to Read

Kites, 17th reader, uses digraphs, trigraphs, silent letters, and hyphens for easy pronunciation of new words. The reader now knows how to figure out a word quickly and pretty soon words broken into pieces will not be necessary.  The page numbers expose the child to Greek and Latin counting words — un, bi, tri, quarter, etc. This prepares the child for arithmetic at school and encourages him or her to measure things at home.
