Bernie, the Saint-20th Wise Learn to Read

Bernie, The Saint, is the last reader in the Learn-To-Read Series. The child is now reading approximately two hundred and eighty of the most commonly used words.  As each reader is progressive, the child practiced previously learned words without realizing he or she was practicing. This reader places the emphasis on the young child relating to other children in every day situations. Each character handles real episodes through conversations with other children in a light, refreshing, and delightful manner.
