Graves to the left, graves to the right, but there shouldn't be a body in sight.

Hettie shouldn't have been surprised when the papers she gave her friend Marlee resulted in a visit to the old cemetery at Woody Lake. After all, they did fit in with Marlee's project. What she didn't expect was to find a woman's body freshly buried on top of another grave. Did the woman's research into her grandmother's life result in her death?

Despite her best intentions, Hettie gets drawn in by the woman's family and her ghostwriter friend Belle's work for them. But their investigation doesn't turn up any viable suspects for the murder. Was it a random attack after all? Is that why Ceefer isn't interested?

Then someone close to her is attacked. Hettie is devastated and turns to her friend Sergeant Higgins for help. What are they missing?

When she stumbles on the answer she can't quite believe who it points to. But the killer isn't taking any chances. Hettie finds herself in a fight for her life. Will she get to see the opening of her new croquet courts? Or will they become her memorial?
