Graham Samson is one of the greatest looking guys in his class and though he's no big brain, he's still able to get not only what he needs, but what he wants. To Graham, high school means hanging out with the crowd that sticks close to Bob Chan.

Bob Chan is richer than Graham, smarter, crazier, and more popular. It's Bob Chan who is the life of the party, who sets the styles and who always has the car to cruise around in. And it's Bob Chan who suggests that the cop buy some crystal meth at "Possum Court" which gets them both busted. But bad! With the camera crew from "Cops" recording it all. 

Chan's wealthy parents hire a powerful attorney who manages to get the charges dropped. Bob is sent off to a posh private prep school while Graham is left behind to face his angry single mom, his stay-away dad, the hot girlfriend who dropped him, and two-to-five years probation. 

With Bob gone, Graham's life becomes a sinkhole of resentment. The strict regiment of probation meddle more and more into his life. Graham discovers the great escape of alcohol but as he drinks to escape his problems, he discovers the more they multiply.

About the Author:

James Trivers is the author of two young adult novels, “I Can Stop Anytime I want” and “Hamburger Heaven” published in hardcover by Prentice Hall and Harper Collins and Avon in paperback separately and respectively. He published a short story, “History” with Swank magazine that was later optioned by New Path Pictures and was produced as a film “Norma Jean, Jack and Me.” It starred Michael Murphy and Sally Kirkland. The movie played various film festivals (Cairo, Palm Springs, San Jose) and was broadcast in “heavy rotation” on the High Def. Movie channel.

A short story, “Conscious Dream,” was published in the e-magazine “Portable Muse.” Currently he is collaborating with leading German screenwriter, CP Hant on a book on Adolf Hitler which will be 
published by Severn House in the UK.
