Socialism

This is the second in a series of Manifestos for the Mid-21st Century. It is a thought experiment: what if politicians stopped lying, took ownership of the consequences – good or bad – of their policies, and stuck to their principles? What, for example, if those who call themselves socialists actually supported the working classes – i.e. those who go out and do the work that enables our society to function? What would their policies look like in mid-21st century Britain? How much could realistically be achieved in a five- year parliamentary term?
This pamphlet seeks to answer those questions and to stimulate, and indeed provoke, the reader to further thought.
