Publisher Description
Marilyn's period in New York City from 1954-1957 is interesting because it was a time of change and growth for the actress. She formed her own company, Marilyn Monroe Productions, to produce television, photographs, and films, for herself and other talented performers. Monroe stayed at the Waldorf Towers and with Milton H. Greene at the home he and his wife owned in Westport, Connecticut. Aside from her career she celebrated her new independence as an artist by doing things she enjoyed. She cooked many of her own meals, frequented antique shops to browse rather than shop and studied Shakespeare with Constance Collier.
