LISTEN AT LEAST 1x a year
This book is soul filling for me. I love the way Ms. Hooks ties in her personal experiences as well as research found. I listen or read this book at least 1 time a year but often times i need a refresher so I’ll read it again. Send this book to anyone who says “I love you” !
Christian brainwash
This is Christian propaganda, well some points are valid, a lot of them are not backed up by research. Most points made are actually proven scientifical unhelpful. This author does not take into account culture and the fact that we are HUMAN.
Outstanding
A book that can truly be recommended to anyone, I believe reading this along with family and friends can be a building block towards creating a better, more loving and supportive future for any and everyone. Bell hooks ability to weave personal narrative, authorial anecdotes, and scientific reasoning into one coherent storyline is magnificent as always and she truly sets the bar for ‘self help books’ higher and higher each time.
