"Araby" is one of the stories from Joyce's masterpiece,
The Dubliners. As is the case with all the stories in the book, it culminates in an "epiphany".

If you're going to get one story, get the whole collection; the stories interrelate thematically, and it's a waste to just have one. Also, as to the write-up stating that this story culminates in an epiphany--it doesn't. Joyce scholars generally agree that Araby is fantastic in the way that it stops just shy of a full recognition. Not that there aren't those who do say this story's conclusion is an epiphany, just that there is a wealth of study dedicated to saying the contrary.
