Publisher Description
“Raw emotion, nonstop action, and relentless pacing makes Backlash another one-night read from Brad Thor.” —The Real Book Spy
#1 New York Times and #1 Wall Street Journal bestselling author Brad Thor is back with his most gripping thriller yet!
In ancient texts, there are stories about men who struck from the shadows, seemingly beyond the reach of death itself. These men were considered part angel, part demon. Their loyalty was to their families, their friends, and their kings. You crossed these men at your peril. And once crossed, there was no crossing back.
They were fearless; men of honor who have been known throughout history by different names: Spartan, Viking, Samurai.
Today, men like these still strike from the shadows. They are highly prized intelligence agents, military operatives, and assassins.
One man is all three.
Two days ago, that man was crossed—badly. Now, far from home and surrounded by his enemy, Scot Harvath must battle his way out.
In the most explosive novel Brad Thor has ever written, page after captivating page of action, intrigue, loyalty, and betrayal will keep you hooked until the very last sentence.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Brad Thor fans can let out that breath they’ve been holding in since the cliff-hanger conclusion of 2018’s Spymaster, but even if this is your first meeting with ex-SEAL Scot Harvath, it’s easy to get swept up in Backlash’s survival-and-revenge story. As the only survivor on a downed plane in the Russian tundra, Harvath fights both the elements and his enemies to get to the Finnish border, while allies around the globe band together to help get their man out of danger. Mr. Robot actor Armand Schultz’s tough-guy delivery underscores the explosive action, making us feel both the freezing cold and Harvath’s indomitable will.
Customer Reviews
Pretty good
Not the best of the series
But still entertaining

In my opinion, Thor’s best novel yet. That is saying a lot because I love following the adventures of Scott
Harvath!!
Please write more than once a year!!!
A long time in the woods
The novel is the first I’ve read by this author. It was interesting but some of the heroic moves are too outlandish. I think it spends too much time on the lost in the woods scenario and not enough on the revenge aspect, which is wrapped up in a nanosecond.
