Publisher Description
Held to be Dickens' finest novel, containing one of the most vast, complex and engaging arrays of minor characters and sub-plots in his entire canon. Memorable characters include the menacing lawyer Tulkinghorn, the friendly, but depressive John Jarndyce, and the childish and disingenuous Harold Skimpole, as well as the likeable but imprudent Richard Carstone. A suspenseful tale about the injustices of the 19th-century English legal system. This novel set the standard for modern day legal thrillers.

Really Good
I had to read this book for a summer Reader, and suffice to say it's 65 chapters long and I wanted to read some but I also wanted to listen to some. It is the same copy as the first choice on iBooks that you can get for free. It really helped me with my book report, to finish it on time, and it was nice to give me a break.
Superb
Did not care for the unfinished ending of this book but I love Peter Bachelor's voice for reading Dickens novels! It makes ALL the difference. I wish he read all the classics!
A wonderful reading of a wonderful novel
This is a fabulous reading of Dickens' great novel, capturing Dickens' dry, throwaway comedy as well as his drama. I sampled parts of about three other audio versions of Bleak House and, frankly, chose this one as much because it cost $2.99 as anything else. It turns out to have been the bargain of the century. I had never been able to get all the way through this wonderful book in a hard copy – so I'm thrilled that I found this audio version and have finally finished it! It truly is one of the great "reads" of all time.
