Wonderful Book!
This book has so much useful information, it’s Christ centered, and I wish that I had read this 20 years ago. I highly recommend it.
The book teaches the reader about establishing important boundaries, parent to child, husband to wife, work life to private life, etc.
The book also goes into essential development stages of children such as the bonding and hatching phases.
I especially loved the section on compliant versus aggressive controlling relationships.
I took from the book that we cannot serve God, our vocation, family, and our neighbor unless we set boundaries and give ourselves time for self-nourishment.
Biblical
I’m sure that is helpful to a lot of people. Don’t get me wrong - there seems to be a lot of great psychology in here. However, I was taken off guard from the constant bible references when there was no reference to that in the description. As someone from a different religion than Christianity, I would have enjoyed a heads up!
