Publisher Description
#1 New York Times bestselling author!
Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who's ever been chosen.
That's what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he's probably right.
Half the time, Simon can't even make his wand work, and the other half, he starts something on fire. His mentor's avoiding him, his girlfriend broke up with him, and there's a magic-eating monster running around, wearing Simon's face. Baz would be having a field day with all this, if he were here--it's their last year at the Watford School of Magicks, and Simon's infuriating nemesis didn't even bother to show up.
Carry On is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
We first discovered Simon Snow in Rainbow Rowell’s utterly charming YA novel Fangirl—that book’s teenage heroine was obsessed with the series starring the magician-in-training. With Carry On, Rowell has gone and written one of Simon’s magical adventures so we can all join in the fun. Entering his final year of magic school, Simon must deal with roommate trouble and romantic problems while also facing down a magic-depleting monster who happens to look just like him. Narrator Euan Morton’s playful delivery and subtle character accents make this witty-but-affectionate Harry Potter send-up pure fun.
Customer Reviews
This is brilliant!
I love all of the characters and the plot! Penny was annoying, though, but I don’t know why I found her to be that way.. maybe because I thought that she and Simon were going to be a thing. One other small thing is that the cover (this edition’s cover) makes me deeply uncomfortable. Simon and Baz are just too BUFF. Overall this book is very well-written and I would definitely suggest this to lovers of love and adventure!
My favorite book!
My favorite book! I love this book, I have both paperback versions and I CANNOT WAIT FOR ‘WAYWARD SON’!! (The sequel.)
