Publisher Description
Brought to life by Meryl Streep and a full cast, this beloved book by E. B. White, author of Stuart Little and The Trumpet of the Swan, is a classic of children's literature that is "just about perfect."*
Some Pig. Humble. Radiant. These are the words in Charlotte's Web, high up in Zuckerman's barn. Charlotte's spider web tells of her feelings for a little pig named Wilbur, who simply wants a friend. They also express the love of a girl named Fern, who saved Wilbur's life when he was born the runt of his litter.
E. B. White's Newbery Honor Book is a tender novel of friendship, love, life, and death that will continue to be enjoyed by generations to come.
Includes an appreciation written and read by Caldecott Honor winner Melissa Sweet, the cover artist of this edition and author/illustrator of Some Writer!: The Story of E. B. White.

APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Charlotte’s Web is perfect just the way E.B. White wrote it in 1952. But letting the glorious Meryl Streep narrate the audiobook—with the assist of over 20 additional readers in the character roles—gives us a new appreciation for the genius of White’s heartfelt tale of the friendship between Charlotte, a wise spider, and Wilbur, a radiant, humble pig. Streep and the other performers’ masterful narration makes us feel like we’re right there on Zuckerman's farm, eavesdropping on Charlotte and Wilbur’s conversations with all the other barnyard residents. (Audiobook vet MacLeod Andrews is a scream as scheming Templeton the Rat!) Make any family drive an enchanting story hour with this delightful audiobook.

Great performance.
True to the actual text in the bokk- yet each character has their own voice and parts. Very, very well done.
Favorite narration
My 5 and 8 year old LOVE this narration, we listen to it again and again whether on a car trip or trying to get thru a cold.
Great cast. My kids loved it and so did I.
It’s a full cast recording, so the characters really come alive. Meryl Streep does a great job as the narrator.
