Awesome! (Audiobook)
I recommend this book to anyone who enjoys reading and learning about the events surrounding WWII in Germany, and who also loves action packed/character driven plots. I love that it is written from the perspective of a German girl, and in her inner dialogue we see just how manipulative the Nazi regime was. The romance felt a bit superficial at first but I was able to overlook that and still really feel invested in the couple. My favorite element of this novel is the emphasis on loyalty and friendship between Hetty and Ana. The ending broke my heart but in the best way. I look forward to more work from this author!
Excellent!
