Publisher Description

Over 4,000 students gathered at the University of Michigan to hear Republican Party candidate Ron Paul speak. As he began to address the topics of monetary policy and the coming depression, a chant rose from the crowd, "End the Fed! End the Fed!" As dollar bills were lit on fire and thrown into the night skies, it became clear that the real problem, one that nobody in the media was talking about, was the central bank - an unconstitutional entity and a political, economic, and moral disaster.

Most people don't give a second thought to the Federal Reserve, but they should. In End the Fed, Ron Paul argues that the Fed is both corrupt and dangerously autonomous, inflating currency today at nearly a Weimar or Zimbabwe level. What most people don't realize is that the Fed is actually working against their own personal interests. Ron Paul's urgent appeal tells us how we went wrong and what we need to do fix America's economic structure for future generations.

independentvoice ,

great

Ron Paul is widely unknown or misunderstood. His voice is something that changes how you see things forever (no matter what party you are affiliated). His statements aren't "popular" but always true and verified. It takes a big man to stand up to towering forces and say "you were wrong then and you're wrong today" while knowing it makes you unpopular.

great intro!!!

Great intro into the workings of the Fed. Ron Paul's message resonates with people from all over the political spectrum. If you are against corporatism, wars, the welfare-state, military industrail complex, or the overwhelming growth of government, and inflation then this book is for you. The Federal Reserve makes all the above possible at your expense. The Fed being a "private" organization is outside any democratic processes and protected from any kind of audit or oversight. Literally creates money to finance itself and government at YOUR purchasing power's expense. Read it and educate yourself.

Michael Moore and Ron Paul Agree--How Did that Happen?

By pure coincidence I finished Ron Paul's audiobook the same day I saw Michael Moore's movie: Capitalism. Stunningly, these two fellows from opposite ends of the political spectrum are talking the same language. That language is that the wealthy class is stealing from America and our elected officials in Washington are in on the take.

At the center of this heist is the Federal Reserve, a private bank, creating money out of thin air and giving it to the biggest banks and players on Wall Street. This action of creating money from nothing dilutes our currency, thereby creating an invisible tax that all citizens pay.

Dr. Paul's solution of ending the Federal Reserve system is probably the only approach that will allow our country to prosper again. By eliminating the government's ability to create money out of thin air, we will force ourselves to live within our means and eliminate the ability of big banks, large corporations, and Wall Street firms to control our elected officials and run the country.

In conclusion, Paul presents a solution that conservatives, liberals, progressives, and libertarians should be able to agree on. If we don't agree and keep fighting with each other, we are merely hastening the day that the US becomes a second tier country.
