Looking for a Fake Fiancé
Have you ever wanted to prove someone wrong so badly that you could taste it?
It doesn’t matter if they’re right. The fact that they had the audacity to go there is what counts.
Hi. It’s me. I’m that person.
The man I’ve been casually seeing told me I’m not “wife material” and I should “lower my expectations.” Didn’t he realize I lowered them the moment I met him for dinner?
Obviously not.
Am I petty? Maybe. Annoyed? Of course. Determined? Definitely.
I need someone to help me flaunt my new engagement—my fiancé couldn’t wait to pop the question because I’m that amazing—in his face.
The problem? I don’t have a boyfriend, let alone a husband-to-be.
Which brings us to you.
Are you handsome? Successful? A smooth talker extraordinaire?
Are you willing to do all the things that someone madly in love would do?
Putting your hand on the small of my back. Forehead kissing. Acting like I’m a treasure you can’t live without. I need you to be prepared to do all those things … and maybe more.
What do you get out of this? I’m willing to negotiate terms—especially if they include a job and a place to stay. It’s a long story.
One night. One event. Let’s put on one heck of a show.
From USA Today and Amazon Charts best-selling author comes a “hot and hilarious!” fake-dating tale between two frenemies turned roommates-to-lovers. Fans of close-proximity, and blue-collar, small-town heroes will fall madly in love with this story.

💖Banks💖for the Win! Amazing RomCom & Narration🎧
Banks’ story is here, Banks’ story is here! WooHoo! Banks is one of my favorite characters of all time and it thrilled me to hear his story would be next. If you have not started the Carmichael series yet, you are in for a real treat. To get the most out of the Banks experience, it is best to read or listen to the other books. Each book features a different Carmichael as the lead character, but Banks has appeared in their books and makes quite an impression. Besides, each book in this series is just as amazing as the other and you will fall in love with all the Carmichaels and their significant others. Banks has a sparkling personality, he is a goofball, like a kid who never grew up, but he grew up and there is method to his madness and it is quite brilliant. Banks is the youngest of the Carmichael boys and was used to having his brothers around, but now they are all settling down and he is becoming a third wheel, not that he minds that or they mind him, mostly. And then there is Sara, Ashley’s friend and when Ashley asks her to do her a favor, he could not refuse, despite that favor being to help Sara. The girl who drove him crazy on a road trip to Florida to pick up Ashely’s things when she moved in with Maddox. Sara got under Banks’s skin for a reason, he was into her but she was not into him or even the idea of having a relationship other than a fling. When Sara loses her job, she needs to move and the apartment she is supposed to move to is not available yet, so she moves in with Ashley, not an ideal situation, but she did not have many options. Then Banks offers her his extra room and then he agrees to be her fake fiancé when they attend an event where her former boss and lover will be attending. It was great to see another side of Banks, his hesitancy to put himself out there in fear of rejection and then going for what he wanted. It was also great to see Sara grow more into her own, to allow herself to love and to be loved. The dynamics of the Carmichael family are amazing and so is camaraderie amongst them, it was great to watch them accept Sara with open arms. This wonderfully plotted story has the perfect balance of drama, humor, witty dialogue, heartwarming moments, heartfelt emotions, and a fabulous romance. Adriana Locke, thank you for another amazing story, the laughs and the emotional rollercoaster ride. I am looking forward to the next Carmichael book, need to know more about Foxx, the texts, the spiders and if Damaris gets her couch!
🎧📚🎧 And for the amazing narration, Adriana Locke cast the perfect narrators to her characters and story to life. Jacob Morgan and Mackenzie Cartwright did a fabulous job portraying the characters, giving each a voice that fit their personality and demeanor with perfection. Jacob Morgan nailed it as Banks, handled his witty dialogue like a pro, and landed the humor naturally and with ease. Mackenzie Cartwright grasped all sides of Sara’s personality and she too could give as good as she gets. Both were great performing the roles of the secondary characters too. They set the perfect tone for the story, captured all the character’s emotions and had you feeling every single one. These entertaining storytellers are a pleasure to listen to and their narration enhanced an already wonderful story to another level. Thank you for another exceptional listen.
Prankster meets his match
If you’re looking for an enemies to lovers book this was amazing. Banks and Sara weren’t meant to be together normally. Sara was having a hard time of it. She’s made a mess out of her life. Jobless, single and now homeless she needs help from Banks the brother of her best friend. She is looking for a fake fiancé and who else winks be better than the prankster Banks? I was fortunate to get a copy of this audio book. The two narrators did an excellent job. I’ve come to enjoy a by narrations by the male narrator Jacob Morgan.
Knee Slapping Good!
This book sucked me in immediately! As someone who hasn't read the other books in the series, I jumped right in and I was loving it. The book was funny, enjoyable, and the romance aspect made my heart sing. I have no complaints with this book! So good! And the narration was great!
