Publisher Description

A follow up to the profound message of Crazy Love, Pastor Francis Chan offers a compelling invitation to understand, embrace, and follow the Holy Spirit's direction in our lives. In the name of the Father, the Son, and, the Holy Spirit. We pray in the name of all three, but how often do we live with an awareness of only the first two? As Jesus ascended into heaven, He promised to send the Holy Spirit “the Helper” so that we could be true and living witnesses for Christ. Unfortunately, today's church has admired the gift but neglected to open it. Breakthrough author Francis Chan rips away paper and bows to get at the true source of the church's power - the Holy Spirit. Chan contends that we've ignored the Spirit for far too long, and we are reaping the disastrous results. Thorough scriptural support and compelling narrative form Chan's invitation to stop and remember the One we've forgotten, the Spirit of the living God.

Francis knows

Francis Chan, truly knows what it means to follow Christ. If we could all live as Jesus this world would be a different place. May God be glorified through this.

P.S. iTunes the title is "Forgotten God: Reversing our Tragic Neglect of the Holy Spirit" Just to help you out.

For Christians in America

This book will stirr up the spirit and make readers want be more fully devoted to God. In Francis Chan's book, he gives a much different view of how the Church should be. He offers and lives out the Biblical approach as seen in Acts. The book gives real and powerful stories of how the Christian Church has lost it's community and become to comfortable in life. This is the real deal here. I love how he says "God build your Church," as if to say Jesus will come when God has finished preparing His bride (the Church). Christians cannot make the perfect church only God can. So Father build your Church.

Still listening

I'm still listening to the book, it's excellent so far, but I thought I'd share that the first chapter is an interview with Francis Chan and some other guy. The guy asks him about the book, it's a good chance to hear Francis talk freely about the book and the writing of the book. I thought I'd just write and say listen to the interview, it adds to the value of the book. Booyah.
