Great Ellen interview!!

This Fresh Air interview with Ellen Degeneres takes place before her talk show was in the works. Terry is a great interviewer and listeners get a true sense of Ellen's self as well as her background. The Andy Richter interview reveals some of his inspirations from growing up in Chicago and thoughts on comedy.

top of the mornin ,

Ellen talks about her first love Kat Perkoff

towards the end of the interview is a wonderful bit, about Ellen's girlfriend Kat Perkoff ( currently a film is being made about Kat called anotherlostangel ) whose death inspired Ellen to write her signature piece " The phone call to God".

Terry is a great interviewer!

Fresh Air Archive, Ellen Degenerous and Andy Richter

Very disappointing, I was expecting some stand up comedy, but instead I got a somewhat boring interview w/ Ellen and Andy. Not to say I didn't learn something about both of them, but I would have much rather spent my money on their stand up, or not have spent it at all.
