Like Watching Paint Dry but In Audio
This book is extremely boring. The book is a slow read, there’s no chemistry between the husband and wife narrators in reading style nor pace. Helen reads way too slow and when you increase the audio speed Helen is at a more tolerable pace but Harville is now too fast. The book also comes off as though Helen just wanted to be included the second go around of the republishing of the book - She tells unnecessary stories of her literary studies and makes it feel as though you’re in an incredibly boring lecture. Imago Therapy seemed promising in sharing tips and advice on how to actually get the love you want, but we’re five chapters in and we have not heard anything useful other then storytelling and random research facts. We tried to hang in there but it was just such a let down and we decided to find a new read.
