APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
The game is afoot when three mysterious private eyes with famous names get involved with high-profile crimes in NYC. Brendan Holmes, Margaret Marple, and Auguste Poe join forces to investigate the kidnapping of a rich teen and her stepfather; the purloining of a priceless pair of books; a gruesome cellar full of skeletons; and corruption at the city’s highest levels—all much to the annoyance of the NYPD and the FBI. James Patterson and Brian Sitts have created a fun new team of PIs with superior powers of deduction who live up to the reputations of their namesakes, whether they’re matching wits with a professional art thief, tracking down serial killers, or unraveling fraud in the mayor’s office. Narrator Christine Lakin tackles each character with charm and whimsy. Holmes, Marple & Poe is a delight for James Patterson fans and the old-school mystery crowd alike.

Giants of Mystery
If an author is going to play off of the namesakes of giants of mystery, they cannot miss. This book was intriguing, fun, exciting, and mysterious. The cases unfold in similar style to the source material, which fans of the originals would enjoy. There is quite a bit of, “how did they do that?, how’d they know that?, or that’s a heck of a coincidence.” The characters are fun and modern with elements pulled from their literary characters, but still their own. I had a great time blitzing through this book and I strongly recommend it.
Several mysteries are woven into the fabric of this book.
I genuinely enjoyed the fast pace of this audiobook. Each episode was filled with intriguing characters and mysteries. I also loved how the characters could effortlessly travel between different locations and interact with each other’s lives, experiences, and the various situations they encountered, which presented them with diverse perspectives on each character.
Great read!
