Read by Fred Lehne.
The new thriller that's "a winner on every level." -Will Lavender, New York Times-bestselling author of Obedience.
The book has some interesting plot twists and holds the reader's interest. That said, this author really creates characters that are difficult to like. This is the second book I've read by David Bell, and I felt the same about the first book. The very people you are supposed to feel empathy for seem whiny and unloveable. Then I realized that it's possible that it was the narration that gave me this feeling. The narrator, who read both books, has adopted a whiny, petulant tone for many of the main characters, and I honestly don't know if I would have felt the same had I read the book instead of listening to it.
