Amazing book, not a fan of narrator.
This book is absolutely a five star for me. The story, the action, the vivid world. But the audio book, the voice chosen totally ruined it for me. I’d rather read it then listen to it
Umm, honestly.
I don’t understand the hype behind this book. It took over 55% of the book to actually be interesting!
The beginning half was annoying, repetitive, and there was too much content that the story could’ve gone without. I’m all for world building, however there is a thing about TOO much world building, in ONE book! The fact that it’s after the 65% mark for it to actually show the climax, plot twist, and more is bothersome.
For me, the MMC and the second FC carried the book. I could not have cared less for the MFC in her lust for blood, revenge, refusal for healing and growth, and pushing everyone away where she was wallowing in her own self pity, misery, despair, and loneliness. She chose do that for to herself all to runaway from her lost memories and past. It was too much and annoying. The MMC deserved better.
The female narrator’s voice was annoying, and sounded as if AI truly was reading the book. It was chaffing to listen to her voice.
At this point, I sincerely hope that the second book is better. It was painful getting through this book!
