THE OVERNIGHT VIRAL SENSATION AND NATIONAL BESTSELLER
The bestselling phenomenon, When the Moon Hatched, is a fast-paced fantasy romance featuring an immersive, vibrant world with mysterious creatures, a unique magic system, and a love that blazes through the ages.
The Creators did not expect their beloved dragons to sail skyward upon their end. To curl into balls just beyond gravity’s grip, littering the sky with tombstones. With moons. They certainly did not expect them to FALL.
As an assassin for the rebellion group Fíur du Ath, Raeve’s job is to complete orders and never get caught. When a rival bounty hunter turns her world upside down, blood spills, hearts break, and Raeve finds herself imprisoned by the Guild of Nobles—a group of powerful fae who turn her into a political statement.
Crushed by the loss of his great love, Kaan Vaegor took the head of a king and donned his melted crown. Now on a tireless quest to quell the never-ebbing ache in his chest, he is lured by a clue into the capitol’s high-security prison where he stumbles upon the imprisoned Raeve …
Echoes of the past race between them.
There’s more to their story than meets the eye, but some truths are too poisonous to swallow.

Customer Reviews
Amazing book, not a fan of narrator.
This book is absolutely a five star for me. The story, the action, the vivid world. But the audio book, the voice chosen totally ruined it for me. I’d rather read it then listen to it
When the mood hatched
When the Moon Hatched ended up being an okay read for me, but it took a long time to get there. I didn’t really feel pulled into the story until around the 47% mark. The first half is heavy on world‑building—important later, but honestly pretty slow and hard to push through while you’re still waiting for the plot to take shape.
If you prefer low‑spice books, this one is extremely mild—basically green‑pepper level—so you’ll be comfortable with it. The focus is much more on setting up the world, the politics, and the characters than on romance or heat.
Once I hit the halfway point, the story finally started to pick up. The pacing improved, the stakes became clearer, and the world‑building from earlier actually started to matter. By the end, I felt like the book had finally found its stride. The ending sets up book two really well, and I’m genuinely expecting the sequel to be stronger now that all the groundwork is out of the way.
Overall: a slow start, a solid finish, and a promising setup for the next installment.
Horrible Narrator
Voice narration sounds like AI. Like completely. It’s incredibly hard to follow story or listen too. I’ve attempted multiple times and after 5 times I’m DNFing it. I highly suggest listening to a preview of the audiobook before purchasing so you don’t waste your money.
