Wud be 5 but...
I loved and enjoyed everything about this audiobook. Obvi, it is another jackpot romantic comedy we’ve all come to love and expect from this dynamic duo of authors. The female narrative is spot on with both male and female characters and the male narrative is perfect for the male character. I just can’t get past the male narrative of the female character. I’m sorry... it just grates on me throughout the entire book. It comes across whiny and annoying. I get through the book because, come on, the authors and the rest of the narration. But maybe next time look for a different male narrator. Love you both, Christina & Lauren!!
Disappointing read
I couldn’t get through the first hour of listening to this book. The female character was awful, If the rider meant for it to be inspiring and free spirited character, they did not succeed.
Couldn’t get past it..
I’m so bummed. I really wanted to love this story and I’m sure I would have had I just purchase the book but I tried the audiobook this time and it was a big mistake! The female voice is perfect for Hazel’s quirky character but Josh’s part, read by Todd is brutal. I stuck it out for 3 of his parts but then just couldn’t get past it. Him speaking as Hazel literally ruined the story for me. So so distracting. I feel like his Josh’s character is meant to be much more stoic but Todd gives him such a nasally/ almost whiny tone. I’ll eventually end up buying the book version but I need to give it some time to fully get Josh’s (not) voice out of my head!
