LEFT TO LAPSE is book #7 in a new FBI thriller series by USA Today bestselling author Blake Pierce, whose #1 bestseller Once Gone (Book #1) (a free download) has received over 1,000 five star reviews.

When a body turns up on a high-speed train passing through France, Germany and Italy—clearly the work of a serial killer—authorities wonder: whose jurisdiction is it?

FBI Special Agent Adele Sharp—triple agent of the U.S., France and Germany—is called in as the only one capable of maneuvering the layers of authority and of tapping her brilliant mind to stop the killer.

But as more victims turn up—on other trains, in other countries—the case grows increasingly complex. Can this all be the work of one serial killer?

And if so, where will he strike next?

An action-packed mystery series of international intrigue and riveting suspense, LEFT TO LAPSE will have you turning pages late into the night.

Book #8 in the series will be available soon.

Change of narrator

I have been listening to this series back to back and it is a bit jarring to have a change in narrator on the 7th book after getting comfortable with the first one. This new narrator also seems to be speaking very fast and her accent for the different characters like the Executive, seems
a little off. I’m hoping it changes back on #8.

New Narration

I had to get use to the new narration. I wasn’t pleased with it initially, but I got use to it. I’m amazed at the authors ability to keep me coming back for more. Thankfully the word winced didn’t seem to be in this audio book as much as the previous ones.

Go back to your original narrator!!!

I love this audio series and have been looking forward to continuing listening as the stories move on. However, the new narrator in this book is pretty terrible. Her phrasing is awful- as if she hasn’t previewed the story before recording (chapter 9 was particularly hard to listen to). Also, her German and French accents leave much to be desired. She sounds like a little kid trying to sound like someone with an accent. This makes it much harder to get into the story and picture the characters. I’ve looked ahead and see that this narrator is also listed for the next book in the series. I’m not sure I can continue buying the books with her. Please go back to Abigail. She was spot-on! Thank you.
