First but not Last
This was my first book by Jennifer Hillier, and I absolutely loved her writing style. The story follows Marin, a woman whose life shatters after her young son is abducted. Struggling to find meaning in the aftermath, Marin is hit with another devastating blow when she discovers her husband is having an affair. From there, the plot unravels quickly and keeps the tension high.
Hillier masterfully weaves a story full of grief, betrayal, and determination, keeping the reader constantly guessing—will Marin ever find her son, and if she does, at what cost?
A gripping, emotional, and suspenseful read that I couldn’t put down.
Easy, fun listen
I am usually good at predicting suspense stories, but this twist had me surprised. Loved it.
