Absolutely adore this author. I was on pins and needles waiting for this book to come out, so really happy that it did not disappoint. I actually did not see the second part coming; however, I did kind of figure out everything at the end, and wish there was just a little bit more concrete solidification, even if it was eerie and provocative as the author does.
It okay
The story was definitely a 7/10. I kinda figured out some things at the beginning of the book. Very slow start.
Meh
I thought the book was overall decent, but the writing was way too formal in how people talked. Maybe I’m just spoiled with other great audio books that read like real conversations taking place. But this author writes people talking as if they are writing. Using words no one ever speaks aloud unless they’re snobs or royalty or something. Just an observation. And then there’s the fact the plot was a little overboard/ unbelievable. A few twists is great, but she reached too far with the ending in my opinion
