Top-notch narrator, engaging story
David Thorp is a very talented narrator who does this story credit. There is a lot of detail and many different characters to follow, and David’s knack for toggling between the various voices and narration is so well done. And of course, John Gwynne is a masterful storyteller. Malice is a slow burn at first, but my patience was rewarded as the pace picked up and the true natures of the principal characters became more evident (and yet, more complex). I’m really looking forward to the rest of the series!
Horrible narration, like listening to someone describing paint drying
I’ll be requesting a refund, could not make it through two chapters.
Fantastic world
This book is a world filled with rich characters, heart pounding action and such a cool writing style. It is written as multi person POV, which allows a very unique and refreshing narrative style. You get drawn into the characters, their emotions, fears, and desires. Seeing how all these different motivations cross path is very rewarding. Can’t wait for more
