A GRIPPING, FEARLESS EXPLORATION OF MASCULINITY
The effects of traditionally defined masculinity have become one of the most prevalent social issues of our time. In this engaging and provocative new book, beloved actor, director, and social activist Justin Baldoni reflects on his own struggles with masculinity. With insight and honesty, he explores a range of difficult, sometimes uncomfortable topics including strength and vulnerability, relationships and marriage, body image, sex and sexuality, racial justice, gender equality, and fatherhood.
Writing from experience, Justin invites us to move beyond the scripts we’ve learned since childhood and the roles we are expected to play. He challenges men to be brave enough to be vulnerable, to be strong enough to be sensitive, to be confident enough to listen. Encouraging men to dig deep within themselves, Justin helps us reimagine what it means to be man enough and in the process what it means to be human.

Book is well written, Audio is also done in a relaxing way. This book may be for the men but it can be enjoyed by anyone. Loved it.
Literally Life Changing
I purchased a copy of this book for my older brother and the audiobook for myself. When he opened this gift on christmas, his first reaction was “wow, why did you get me a feminist man hating book?” At that point, I figured that what I’d actually given him was another book to collect dust on a shelf and that he’d probably never read it.
But then he called me two weeks later. “Thank you for this book, I actually really really like it. I’m only a chapter or so in, but I read the whole preface and I already know this is going to be so helpful.” What followed was probably one of the most meaningful conversations we’ve ever had as two adults. We’re already pretty close as siblings, but the vulnerability this book opened us to has and will undoubtedly continue to deepen our relationship.
He revealed to me that he’s scared he doesn’t have any real deep friendships, and how he didn’t know that until he read Justin’s words and felt like he was reading his own. I am so proud of the work he is already doing to be more present as himself, and I can’t wait to watch this book change his life.
Amazing Book! Life changing!
This book really made me step back and realize how some man can feel like they aren’t enough. As a woman I felt that it was truly amazing to see the world from the male’s perspective. I won’t lie I cried at times during this book. Some were happy and some were sad tears. This book is amazingly written and has made me understand that I am loved and that I am enough. It doesn’t matter what gender you identify as for me reading this book has touched me. Thank you Justin.
