James Finley is a Master
In full disclosure, I should state that I consider my self a student of sorts of James Finley, having attended a number of his retreats in Los Angeles. Simply stated, Jim Finley is a master. I don't know anyone on the contemporary scene who plumbs the depths of Christian mysticism the way that Jim does. Starting out as a novice monk with the great Thomas Merton when a young man, Jim has explored the profundity of such mystics as Miester Eckart, Saint John of the Cross, the author of the Cloud of Unknowing and Julian of Norwich. He has a great deal to tell us about how we can access God today in this very life. Don't miss the opportunity to listen to someone who has walked the walk.
