It's definitely worth having a collection of guided meditations that have studies to back up their usefulness — on a neurological basis no less.
Both authors are experienced practitioners and serious scientists. They provide studied, effective spiritual practices to alter one's ingrained habits (reflected physically in the brain) and begin to make neurological grooves that manifest as beneficial habits & happiness. After each session, the underlying science is explained as it is currently understood to function.
This is psychological/spiritual technology in its most advanced form— at least, for now.
What more could you ask for? I've chosen to truly throw myself into years of practicing these specific techniques. The data seems to show it could change my life.
