Watch Silo, the Apple TV+ series based on the bestselling Silo Saga, starting May, 2023!
The second volume in the New York Times bestselling Silo series. Hugh Howey goes back to show the first days of the Silo, and the beginning of the end.
In 2007, the Center for Automation in Nanobiotech (CAN) outlined the hardware and software platforms that would one day allow robots smaller than human cells to make medical diagnoses, conduct repairs, and even self-propagate.
In the same year, the CBS network re-aired a program about the effects of propranolol on sufferers of extreme trauma. A simple pill, it had been discovered, could wipe out the memory of any traumatic event.
At almost the same moment in humanity’s broad history, mankind discovered the means for bringing about its utter downfall. And the ability to forget it ever happened.
Overall a Great Sequel
The first 30% of this book gave me mixed feelings. I wasn’t invested in the viewpoint from which the story was being told. As the story progressed, it evolved in a way I did not see coming, melding the narratives and by the end I was once again, excited to get to the next book in the series.
Read all three within a month!
Soon as I watched Silo episode 1 I couldn’t wait to see what was next. Looked up the books and found all three. I couldn’t stop, I was like a maniac haha. Finished all three within a month. Couldn’t believe how good these are and the storyline. Thank you Hugh Howey!
