Edoardo Ballerini’s crisp, sympathetic narration made it easy to imagine ourselves in the rickety and claustrophobic setting. Fans of dystopian fiction will get caught up in this engrossing story, the inspiration for an Apple Original series.

Some Interesting Ideas
If you’ve seen the TV series, this is different enough to warrant reading. Some interesting situations and plot points make for a fun read. Does not feel like short stories glued together but rather a coherent narrative.

There is one word that comes to mind after reading Wool; one word that captures the essence of the author’s talent, prose, and storytelling brilliance: this book is simply delicious.
Like a fantastic wine you want to last but can’t help yourself from sipping. I bought the sequels when I was only halfway through this first novel.
It’s one of those rare gems that demand a weekend alone. Stormy weather outside. A log on the fire. And the chance to escape into this world.
Just… delicious.

Please give this a read rather than subscribing to Apple TV to watch the show Silo. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a fine show but it has nothing on this book. Thank you Hugh Howey!
