In Hugh Howey’s chilling postapocalyptic thriller, the toxic atmosphere has forced people to live in a 100-story silo deep beneath the earth, where they’re fed lies about the past and forbidden to dream about the future. But when mechanic Juliette ventures to the top levels of the silo, she discovers new information, threatening the status quo—and her life. The dark world Howey has created for his Wool series is eerily believable, in part because of all of the vivid visual descriptions. We could really imagine ourselves in the rickety, claustrophobic silos and feel Juliette’s anxiety. Fans of dystopian fiction will get caught up in this engrossing story.

I Don’t Say I Like It, But It’s Good
This story took longer to read than I had anticipated. Rather than being well-written, it felt somewhat boring at the mid. The author is good at presenting small details but focused too much on the flow, missing opportunities to build excitement. However, they did make the story somewhat unique compared to other sci-fi works, and in the end, it turned out quite well.

What’s Left to Say?
It’s hard to say anything about this book that hasn’t already been said. It’s an outstanding story that’s easy to see why they wanted to make an Apple TV+ series based on it. (Still need to watch that.) It was just excellent storytelling, and I’m positive I’ll be reading the follow-up novels in the near future.

I love it but it has too much cussing. BUT I LOVE THIS BOOK SO MUCH!!!!!
