Fascinating
From marvelous engineering challenges and people management to history, there are so many types of interests this book can spark. My only wish is that I had found it sooner.
Poor Organization
Parts of this book are gripping. It would have been much more enjoyable had there been better organization of the chapters, fewer episodes of foreshadowing, and less complaining about political regimes.
I love planes, love military tech, and reading about top secret projects like the SR-71, F-117, and the U-2 and this book will give you plenty of technical and narrative excitement.
I found in cumbersome that we first learned about the F-117, then went back to the U-2, then the F-117 again, then the SR-71, then back to the U-2. Fun facts, tells of the amazing minds and dedication that created theses spy weapons in short timeframes and small(ish) budgets. Recommended but average writing.
