Publisher Description
From USA Today bestselling author Ava Harrison comes a new standalone hockey romance.
Aiden Slate.
Pro hockey star. Captain of the Redville Saints. And the bane of my existence.
All it takes is a little liquid courage to storm his castle.
Or, in this case, a cushy five-star hotel suite.
I'm supposed to give him a piece of my mind.
To unleash a decade of pent-up anger.
What I'm not supposed to do is sign an NDA meant for another woman.
He thinks I'm here to relieve his stress.
Well, he's in for a rude awakening.
Problem #1? The boy I grew up with doesn't remember me.
Problem #2? I fall to my knees at his command. Literally.
Next thing I know, I agree to be his fake girlfriend.
He doesn't realize I'm the girl he left behind ten years ago.
The last thing I'll do is admit it.
Because Aiden might have abandoned me all those years ago.
But me? I'll forever be his.

Second Chance Romance
‘Aiden is my North Star.’
Aiden Slate (age 28) is an NHL hockey player dealing with OCD.
Cassidy (age 22) is a college graduate who can’t find a job and sleeping on her friend’s couch.
Cass and Aiden first met each other ten years ago living in trailers with negligent and abusive parents. Then Aiden got his big break, with Cass’s help, and disappeared.
There were a lot of good scenes written like describing Aiden’s OCD and how Cass was able to help him without judgement and give him the safe space he always craved for.
There is a lot of angst in Cass going back and forth all the time to tell him the truth of their past. It got annoying and at times.
The scenes were more slow to medium burn. A lot of being attracted but holding back which I also find to be annoying. Also some mentions of Dom/sub but not enough scenes to really enjoy that dynamic.
Overall an okay read. More of a 3.5 for me since felt very YA and I thought it would be more adult romance.
