Publisher Description
From New York Times bestselling author Elin Hilderbrand, comes a novel about the many ways family can fill our lives with love...if they don't kill us first.
*New York Times bestseller*
It's Nantucket wedding season, also known as summer-the sight of a bride racing down Main Street is as common as the sun setting at Madaket Beach. The Otis-Winbury wedding promises to be an event to remember: the groom's wealthy parents have spared no expense to host a lavish ceremony at their oceanfront estate.
But it's going to be memorable for all the wrong reasons after tragedy strikes: a body is discovered in Nantucket Harbor just hours before the ceremony-and everyone in the wedding party is suddenly a suspect. As Chief of Police Ed Kapenash interviews the bride, the groom, the groom's famous mystery-novelist mother, and even a member of his own family, he discovers that every wedding is a minefield-and no couple is perfect. Featuring beloved characters from The Castaways, Beautiful Day, and A Summer Affair, The Perfect Couple proves once again that Elin Hilderbrand is the queen of the summer beach read.
APPLE BOOKS REVIEW
Every wedding has its mishaps, but when the maid of honor's body is found floating in the harbor, you better believe it’s a bad omen. As with the 20 previous novels by romance author Elin Hilderbrand, this mystery is set on the idyllic New England island of Nantucket…but The Perfect Couple’s complex, time-shifting plot is more Gone Girl than Danielle Steel. Voice actress Laurence Bouvard navigates all the story’s characters with style, particularly conflicted bride-to-be Celeste and her future mother-in-law Greer, a mystery novelist with dark secrets of her own. Bouvard's engaging delivery makes the story feel lived-in and real.

Great read
I loved this murder/mystery (or not) and couldn’t put it down. However I did question a couple of things in the end.
Don’t read further unless you’ve already read the book. But…
- how did the pill box end up in the trash can and who threw them away?
- why did the book mention they found sedatives in Merritt’s system and then never mention it again? Where did they come from?
I still loved the book and will read more of her books but don’t like things left unsaid. 🤷♀️
Easyread
