Great Story Terrible Narration
I really liked the story but the narrator couldn’t stay in character so the story was made hard to follow. It would have been okay if it was once or twice but it was constant.
Small town love
This is a sweet, small town story about a waitress who wanted to build success on her own. It was harder than she’d expected, especially since she decided to buy a franchise. Frankie, her best friend has been in love with her since forever, but Mandy doesn’t want to damage their friendship by acting on her attraction to him.
The book focuses on Mandy’s struggle with the franchise CEO, her finances, and her growing need for a love relationship with her own true love.
I enjoyed the story. I listened to the computer generated audio version of the book. While it was very good when reading certain parts of the story, once the dialog between characters started, the narration got stilted because the intonation wasn’t good.
