10 Basic Concepts About Sexuality

The word "basic" has several connotations. One of them is to consider something as a minimum, but not in positive terms, but from a negative perspective, as when we tell a person "this is too basic", in a pejorative way. Yes, that is a possible meaning, but it is not the one we give it in this text.

When in this book we think of "basic", we talk about "base", the minimum denominators from which we should start in order to understand a message or a concept. It may sound arrogant to want to reduce sexuality to 10 "basic" concepts, but you have to start from somewhere, so what we intend is simply to point out the bases on which an analysis, at least cursory, about sexuality should be built.

Dr. Miguel Ángel Núñez has been teaching and giving lectures in various parts of the world on family, marriage, sexuality and responsible parenthood for years. He is an educator with extensive experience who has combined writing with his teaching work. He also works in his private practice as a family and couples therapist.
