Spicy Small Town Romantic Suspense!!
This is a fairly quick read, about 200ish pages, and it’s filled with small town romance and entertaining suspense! It’s told in dual POV, giving both Hunter and Petra the ability to tell their stories.
Hunter and Petra are fun together. They almost have an insta-love vibe to their relationship, but it’s still paced fairly well. Hunter is doing some investigating for a friend and he takes note of the target’s niece. Petra, in turn, takes notice of the tall, dark, and dangerous man who’s docked his boat in the harbor. Pretty soon, the investigation entwines the two together in some pretty explosive scenes.
I really liked Hunter and Petra. I thought they were perfect together and, honestly, grew better as people together. I loved Hunter’s drive to help take care of Petra and Petra’s adorable stubbornness.
This story has steamy times (light D/S vibes), assault (not really graphic), death (also not graphic), talk of S/A (nothing happens).
I have this book in ebook, paperback, and audiobook format, so yeah, I like it.
The audiobook of this story is wonderful! The narrators really bring these characters to life and do a great job with all of the different voices and emotions of the characters! I listened at 1.1x speed.
Steamy hot story!
Oh my! I definitely found this to be a delicious hot audiobook that really grabbed my attention from the very beginning! The intense steamy hot chemistry between Petra and Hunter along with this suspenseful storyline really made this a delicious hot, super exciting, very enjoyable story to listen to! I also thought narrator Robert Hatchet’s deep sexy voice really brought these characters to life and added extra heat to Dakota Davies delicious hot story! I definitely recommend this audiobook as a sweet hot read!
