Susan's letter came from California: Hand was in jail, and she was on the run. Twenty-four hours later, Hawk is free, because Spenser has sprung him loose—for a brutal cross-country journey back to the East Coast. Now the two men are on a violent ride to find the woman Spenser loves, the man who took her, and the shocking reason so many people had to die. . . .

Too many f words.
Great repartee but the f words spoil it.
Perfect.
Just perfect.
It was the best of Spenser, it was the worst of Spenser
But any Spenser is better than none. For witty Hawk banter, literary references, food and drink commentary, deep thoughts on the meaning of love and life... It had everything you want from Boston's best hired gumshoe. But plot wise. There is way too much far fetched stuff going down!
