A Christmas Heart

When Linda and Jim Nicholson leave their grown children home alone the week before Christmas, they issue a challenge: clean the house, prepare for holiday guests, and give their time to someone in need. For twenty-two-year-old Kayla and her restless older brother, Matt, the unexpected responsibilities feel more like a warning that it may be time to leave the safety of home.

Then a fierce North Dakota blizzard changes everything.

While Matt delivers groceries to snowbound neighbors and Kayla discovers that even an injury can't stop her from helping others, their parents join a search for a vulnerable runaway. Meanwhile, a young man traveling through the storm hopes to finally meet the father he has never known.

As strangers become friends and a family's Christmas table makes room for unexpected guests, each of them will discover that growing up doesn't mean facing life alone—and that the greatest gifts are found in service, forgiveness, faith, and love.

A Christmas Heart is a tender, uplifting holiday novella about second chances, chosen family, and opening your heart to the true meaning of Christmas.
