The Last Flight

Courtney Richmond wanted one quiet hour at the town's annual adults' scratch baseball game. Instead, she got a body in the grove.

Elm City turns out in full for the 4th of July holiday including a craft fair on Main Street, five innings of small-town baseball, and a kite competition in the pasture across from the Crocus Hill Inn. By noon, Coach Dave Meyer is dead in the trees beside the baseball diamond. The girl who finds his body is the sheriff's daughter, and her father becomes a prime suspect.

Whoever staged the murder in the grove knows all of the townspeople and all of their secrets. The clues point to every one of Dave's enemies. Courtney's ingenuity and help from the sheriff's daughter bring the murderer to justice.
