Publisher Description
She wants a title. He longs to be loved for who he is.
Evangeline “Birdie” Horst is everything society expects in a Dollar Princess—beautiful, wealthy, and determined to marry a duke. Her plans unravel when her family’s detour through the English Lake District brings her face-to-face with a mysterious groundskeeper unlike any gentleman she’s been taught to admire.
Ross barely survived the fire that destroyed Keswick Castle as a boy. Now the Duke of Rosthwaite, he’s spent a decade rebuilding his family’s estate—and himself. He lives and works among the gardens, opening the castle grounds to paying visitors each summer. When a sharp-tongued American heiress mistakes him for hired help, Ross says nothing. For once, he wants to be seen as the man, not the title.
But the deception can’t last. When Birdie discovers the man she’s fallen for is the very duke she came to England to find, everything she wanted is suddenly within reach—and everything she feels is thrown into question.
Because sometimes the title you’ve dreamed of isn’t the prize.
It’s the man waiting behind it.

The Gilded Duchess
I enjoyed this book. The story was interesting. The characters were likable and it had a lovely HEA. Didn’t need the graphic sexual content but obviously today’s readers have come to expect it.
Fantastic
I loved the story and the characters. They were passionate about their lives and their ways. I loved the ending.
Nice story
This is a nice story, probably a little predictable but good anyway.
